Saddle Fitter Demonstration

On Tuesday, April 26th, the Saint Vincent College Equestrian program welcomed professional saddle fitters Katie  Gussenhofen-Close and her husband, Bruce, to  our campus.  Katie and Bruce discussed their 10-step process for evaluating a saddle for appropriate fit to a horse, along with the health implications a horse can experience later on in life associated with an improperly fitting saddle. Katie and Bruce entertained a Q&A session, as well as offered participants the opportunity to learn hands-on the signs of a properly fitting saddle.
